You can read this Gene6 Installation and Configuration Guide to know how to configure Gene6 FTP Server and create default FTP domain.

  • Installation Folder - Specify the path to Gene6 installation folder.
  • FTP Accounts Site - Select the name of Gene6 FTP domain where all customer FTP accounts will be created. You should use Gene6 administrator console to add a new FTP domain.

DNS Records

Verify/change FTP service "A" record that will be added to all new DNS zones. This record will allow your customers to access FTP server by means of URL, e.g. ftp://ftp.mydomain.com/. The main thing you should pay attention on is FTP server IP address.

You may also add other DNS records if required.
