Starting Setup Wizard
Open the Configuration Studio. In the left pane, choose Components. In the components pane, click the Load Available Components button. In the list of components, choose the DotNetPanel Enterprise Server component and click the Install link. After downloading the Setup Wizard starts.
Welcome Screen
This is the first step of the Setup Wizard. Click Next button to continue.
Install Location
This step allows specifying of destination folder for the installing application.
Web Settings
The settings from this step are used to create a new web site for the installing application.
IP Address
For Enterprise Server the IP address may be either an external IP (if you are planning to install ES on different from Portal server and it should be accessible from Portal box) or just an internal IP (for example, loop back 127.0.0.1 or internal IP of the server in your LAN) if you are installing Portal and ES on the same machine.
Domain Name
If you are not planning to expose your Enterprise Server for external use you may leave "domain name" field blank and then use ES from the Portal specifying the IP address only.
TCP port
This setting determines the TCP port on which the World Wide Web Publishing Service (WWW service) is running. You can change the port to any unique TCP port number. However, to connect to your server, clients must know in advance to request that port number.
Please remember, the final URL of Enterprise Server is given in the field at the top of the form. Enterprise Server URL will need you later when configuring Portal.
Database Settings
Specify the target SQL Server 2005 instance where Enterprise Server database will be created.
If you have SQL Server instance installed locally you can use Windows Authentication to proceed. If you want to use remote SQL Server you should choose SQL Server Authentication with sa login name (with appropriate password) or some other one with administrative privileges.
Please note, DNP Enterprise Server can be installed on SQL Server 2005 engines only and its version will be checked after clicking Next button.
Installation Progress
This step displays the overall installation progress. Click Next button to continue.
Finalizing Installation
This is the final step of the Setup Wizard displaying actions that have been undertaken during the installation process.
Click the Enterprise Server link and make sure you have the following picture:
