FTP Server
FTP Server allows you and your hosting customers work with folders and files on the server.
If you are going to provide your customers FTP service you should have FTP Server software installed.
FTP Server can be installed before or after DotNetPanel installation.

Microsoft FTP Server
Microsoft FTP Server is a part of Internet Information Services 6.0, included in Windows Server 2003 distributive and does not require a separate download. Microsoft FTP Server is easy to administer and use software and it is perfect for hosting company of any size.

DNS Server
DNS Server hosts DNS zones of your customers' domains.
If you are going to host DNZ zones on your dedicated server you should install DNS server software.
DNS Server can be installed before or after DotNetPanel installation.

Mail Server
If you are going to provide your hosting customers to create mailboxes, forwardings, mailing lists you should install mail server software.
Mail server software can be installer before or after DotNetPanel installation.
DotNetPanel supports the following mail servers:
MailEnable
All MailEnable editions: Standard, Professional and Enterprise can be controlled from DotNetPanel. Standard edition is a good start, because it is a free, but it has a single drawback - it doesn't include the web interface. Standard edition can be easily migrated to Professional or Enterprise in the future.

Database Servers
If you are planning to provide database hosting to your customers you should install database server software.

Microsoft SQL Server 2000
DotNetPanel supports all editions of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 including MSDE 2000.
While MSDE 2000 is free all other SQL Server 2000 editions are commercial and require a separate license to be purchased from Microsoft corp. or its resellers.

DotNetPanel supports all editions of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 including Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express.
